  2. But you can clearly see, although the Asus finds some satellites, the reception is way weaker (only yellow and orange bars vs. many green ones on the other tablets).

  3. @moochincrawdad It could but not directly. Maybe your data connections was faster, so the A-GPS (assisted GPS) data was downloaded faster and the fix could be established faster.

btw one does need 4 satellites for a fix. its triangular position + a time fix

  5. wsh

  6. it was quite funny at the end, but if u have given the Galaxy Tab 10.1 and Sony S more time they probably would have also found more sattelites

  7. WAH Asus…

  8. @lightstorm66 they were switched on in my bags running the GPS App. The Prime is still way too slow

  9. I didn’t know Tablets had an intergrated GPS into it, does it uses internet data? or does it just use the satellites?

  10. Anyone who uses gps on a tablet… is a moron.

  11. @MrVilerfox of course it uses the satellites

  12. @minipcpro But that doesn’t answer my other question, does it use internet data?

  13. @MrVilerfox Optional on android.
    a) Agps can help gps fix, needs connection
    b) Google location Service, but i dont think its used by gps signal test tools.

  14. …nettes Büro!!! Die Aussicht erweckt Neid!

  15. I got lucky and bought one today. Mine easily picked up 13 within 10 or so seconds. Lucky maybe? Btw this tablet i is a,beast! Hands down best on the market currently.

  19. was presented at CES

  20. hahahaha very funny video !!!

  21. Thank you for taking time out of your life and making a legit comparison of these tablets :)

  22. Yeah I have the same problem. It takes like 1-2 min to find some satellites but when it does, a ton just comes in.

  23. @steliospitsillides wow, that’s a new one. Android Fanboys are calling me Apple Fanboy, Apple iSheeps are calling me Android Fanboy and now i am getting called Sammy Fanboy by an angry ASUS user. Cute :)

  24. so what is the actual problem? what makes it so slow? does it always need so much time? does it always get the satellites?

  25. @SpizdiGonzales the aluminum back plate on the prime is interfering the gps signal
